Melike Göküstün

Yoga & Acro Yoga Instructor

Melike has been working on body and mind for about 9 years. In addition to the 200 hours of instructor training she received from Cihangir Yoga in 2018, she continued to take different trainings with her interest in different yoga schools, blending and enriching her practice. She has received trainings such as advanced sequence preparation, advanced asana techniques, Dharma Yoga master workshops, Ashtanga Hands-on orientation, yoga philosophy, breathing & meditation, and continues to receive new trainings. Her deep curiosity about yoga philosophy and history, the understanding she has developed with the light of today's intellectuals and scientific research, also causes her to have a very spiritual approach to strong asana practice. If we say that Joe Dispenza and Deepak Chopra are doing meditation sittings about revealing the mind power by changing its waves and directing it to our self-healing, you will imagine him sitting cross-legged with mudra, but he is also an acroyoga monkey. For 4 years, she has carried her Acro Yoga practice to an advanced level by working with many trainers from Turkey and abroad. In addition to acro yoga, she intends to make us a different person than we were before in terms of vestibular perception and flexibility with her workshop-like strong and at the same time comfortable and flexible lessons interspersed with hand-arm balances and reverse postures.

Serdar Kaplan

Tango Instructor

Serdar who had attended international tango festivals more than 40 different countries, had the opportunity to work with most recognized Argentinian Maestros throughout his 20-year tango journey. He sees each tango step as a letter in the alphabet. Instead of teaching fixed step patterns and choreographies in his lessons, he prefers to teach individual steps which he describes as letters. And thus, dancer can write his/her words, and they can make their own sentences with those words. So dance can deliver the real message of the individual. He finds this improvisation experience “meditative” as much as “liberating”. He perceives the concept of getting that much close of two distant spirits not only a contrast miracle of tango but also a hope for future society.

The Story of Move Fest

The story of Move Fest began in 2015 when two adventure-loving friends explored the area now known as Babakamp in the terrain of Turkey. Little did they know that their expedition would lead them to stumble upon the breathtaking valley that would eventually become the heart and soul of Move Fest. After spending time in this plateau at an altitude of 1300 meters, now known as Babakamp, they realized that mountains attract people who love to move. The surrounding cedar forests, inspiring sunset views, and cool and fresh air make this location perfect for our event!

Year after year, Move Fest blossomed into a testament to the power of community and the beauty of movement. What began as a humble gathering of like-minded individuals has evolved into a global phenomenon, attracting participants from every corner of the globe.

As Move Fest enters its fourth year, the spirit of adventure and exploration burns brighter than ever before. The organizers are committed to preserving the essence of what makes this event truly special – a celebration of movement, nature, and the human spirit.
