Our Story
A sanctuary where the air is crisp that graces the landscape.
In the quiet hills beneath the towering peak of Mountain Babadağ, a vision was born. In the year 2015, two avid hiker friends stumbled upon a hidden plateau during one of their explorations. A chance encounter that would change the course of their lives forever.

As they hiked down and explored the surroundings, the dormant land whispered secrets of potential and promise. The neighbors, absent at that moment, revealed a possibility—they could own a piece of this tranquil paradise. Eager to unearth the truth, one of the friends set up camp on the plateau until he crossed paths with the neighbors and discovered that the land was indeed for sale.

Our Purpose
The foundation of Babakamp
With the acquisition of the initial 2 acres, the founder set out to build what is now the heart of Babakamp—the Octagon. What started as a personal haven soon transformed into a lobby, a meeting point, and the vibrant café that welcomes guests with open arms.

The journey to build the Octagon was not a solitary one. Surrounded by like-minded friends, individuals passionate about nature, movement, and creativity, the founder's vision expanded. Friends turned into co-creators, and the plateau became a canvas for collaboration. Camping and retreats began, drawing kindred spirits to the evolving sanctuary.

Sustainability
Faith and passion led the way
This spark ignited a flame that fueled a grand vision. A vision to create spaces that nourish mind, body, and soul at an elevation of 1300 meters, amidst complete tranquility. Babakamp's landscape evolved, fueled by the dreams of those who visited, camped, and retreated on the land. 

Faith and passion led to the acquisition of an additional 22 acres, giving rise to bungalows, guest houses, and an array of facilities. Today, the plateau boasts a panoramic yoga and movement studio, a restaurant, the iconic Octagon café, outdoor playgrounds, a rooftop bar and stage, a music and production studio, an art atelier, and much more.
Practical Information
Sustainability breathes life into Babakamp
Leftover food finds purpose as nourishment for the animals roaming the land. Electricity is used sparingly to preserve resources, sourced from solar panels and the comforting glow of fireplaces. 

The mountain's gift, pure water, urges guests to tread lightly on consumption. Solar panels warm the water, and the crackle of stoves and fireplaces echo with the collected wood from surrounding forests.

Eight years have passed, and Babakamp stands as a testament to slow and deliberate growth. From hosting intimate retreats to curating large art and culture gatherings, it has become a sanctuary for tens of thousands each year. An evolving haven, a testament to the power of nature, community, and a vision nurtured with passion.
